In 2019 Mid and East Antrim Council commissioned Kaleidoscope to create and deliver a unique public event to celebrate the completion of extensive restoration works at Carrickfergus Castle.

Kaleidoscope embraced the challenge by creating an original animation which explored the history of Carrickfergus Castle and the town. The animation created a new mythology for the Castle in the form of Feredore the Dragon. On the 9th November the film was projected onto the walls of the Castle using the latest projection mapping technology. Thousands of people turned out to witness this incredible, once in a lifetime spectacle.
